Over the past several years, James has delivered dozens of hours of private tuition at a range of educational levels – from GCSE to university admissions – across a range of platforms, including Oxford Tutors USA, The Oxbridge Tutoring Company, and the Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative. He has also helped students prepare for the English component of admissions exams for the Grande Écoles, colloquially referred to as prépa.

He now offers tuition on a private basis in English Literature for both IB and A-Level, with experience in tutoring for all current major examination boards, excluding WJEC. He offers a bespoke service, tailored to your needs and expectations, focusing on core essay-writing competencies, in hopes of offering transferable skills at the same time as improving your academic performance

James also offers mentoring on a more general basis for prospective university applicants, including overseas students, with a particular specialisation in the Oxbridge admissions process. In addition, he can provide more general support for academic essay writing for 16+ students and beyond, appropriate to your educational level, as well as more general, non-programmatic literary tuition in your areas of interest. His rate for these services is £50 per hour, with an initial fee of £75 for a consultation to gauge your expectations and level of need. This will be refunded if you choose not to engage his services thereafter.
